Things to do in North Cornwall
There's so much going on in and around North Cornwall and East Devon that we thought it would be helpful to post some of the best events on our website as a handy reference for visitors.
It's by no means a complete list but we hope you find it useful and, if you discover something that's not on the list that you think might worth mentioning for next year, please do get in touch.
Events are organised into categories on the right of the screen or you can browse the full list below.
A narrow gauge steam railway running from Launceston out to Newmills Farm, which is also a lovely attraction for families with young children.
A beautiful mixed woodland and a lovely place to walk the dogs. Also popular with families and keen cyclists with the relatively new off-road mountain bike trail.
Plenty of space to picnic, but the Woods Cafe is excellent.
The nearby Tamar otter and wildlife centre is a great day out for all the family. For added adventure you can reach the centre by walking from Cullacott along the old farm track.
The famous biomes house plants from all around the world. A great education centre, which also holds music and entertainment events.
A popular all-weather family tourist attraction.
Climb to the battlements of this impressive Norman castle for magnificent views over the town and surrounding countryside.
The beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan, now restored and once more productive.
An award-winning freehouse inn overlooking Widemouth Bay, serving excellent local produce.
A very popular cycle route runs from Wadebridge to Padstow along the picturesque Camel estuary. Plenty to see and do in Padstow when you get there too.
Experience the wonder of live theatre and music in a unique setting on the edge of Bodmin Moor. This canopied "open-air" theatre has much to offer throughout the Summer season.
