Things to do in North Cornwall
There's so much going on in and around North Cornwall and East Devon that we thought it would be helpful to post some of the best events on our website as a handy reference for visitors.
It's by no means a complete list but we hope you find it useful and, if you discover something that's not on the list that you think might worth mentioning for next year, please do get in touch.
Events are organised into categories on the right of the screen or you can browse the full list below.
Experience the wonder of live theatre and music in a unique setting on the edge of Bodmin Moor. This canopied "open-air" theatre has much to offer throughout the Summer season.
A relaxing cafe/brasserie serving fine cuisine, with an emphasis on seasonal, local produce.
A popular acoustic cafe takes place on the last Thursday of every month.
A lovely cycle into the Devon countryside, with the option of taking your bikes on the train from Okehampton for part of the journey.
A centre for contemporary crafts and patchwork classes, with exhibitions, workshops, fabric shop and fantastic cafe.
Cotehele is a splendid Tudor house with formal gardens and orchards. The wilder Valley garden leads down to the river and the path continues along to the Quay and eventually to the Mill.
The Edgcumbe tea-room on The Quay is a good re-freshment stop.
An extraordinary adventure park in beautiful surroundings, with miniature model railway and popular "crystal challenge" game. New challenges and attractions each year.
South West Lakes Trust manages 50 inland waters, Roadford Lake being one of them. They offer various facilities and opportunities for activities, including walking, cycling, water-sports and angling.
A narrow gauge steam railway running from Launceston out to Newmills Farm, which is also a lovely attraction for families with young children.
A beautiful mixed woodland and a lovely place to walk the dogs. Also popular with families and keen cyclists with the relatively new off-road mountain bike trail.
Plenty of space to picnic, but the Woods Cafe is excellent.
The nearby Tamar otter and wildlife centre is a great day out for all the family. For added adventure you can reach the centre by walking from Cullacott along the old farm track.
